We are a UK-based developer of premium accessory products for slate roofs, servicing slate markets around the world. Beyond SlateSpacer™, our interests include fastening and ventilation systems. We have been awarded several patents in several countries. Others are pending.

The slate market is global, and we reflect its international nature. Our main factory is in Kent. Our main sales office is in the US (EST). Our management includes a French-American (who, after University, trained at l'Ecole Supérieure de Couverture, in Angers). We draw on decades of experience in various segments of the slate sector, supplying products and design solutions for thousands of projects as far afield as Cyprus, India and Indonesia.

The principles underlying sound slate installation are universal, but there are important technical and cultural differences among markets worldwide. We team with strong, local partners who possess intimate knowledge of their markets and who are able to respond to the varied needs of owners, specifiers and installers.

Part of an ongoing evolution

Slate is the last stone to remain in wide use as a roofing material. This is in part owing to its special properties — its durability and its ease of fabrication. It is also owing to a history of improvements at the quarry, at the mill and on the roof. Taken together, these improvements have not only preserved a venerable form, but have created a refined, robust, modern roofing system — a sensible choice for yesterday's and today's important structures.
